Restorations & Heritage Projects
With more than 150 years of combined craftsmanship, SEC Works is recognised as a leader in Classic Vehicle Restoration and heritage bus preservation in the UK. Our coachbuilders, fabricators and craftsmen are among the most experienced in the industry, trusted for their precision, traditional skill and deep respect for historic vehicles.
We are passionate about preserving transport heritage—particularly the iconic Routemaster. Through specialist Routemaster Preservation Hire and Heritage Meets Modern Design, we restore vintage and classic buses to their original glory while incorporating modern safety standards and reliability. Many of our restored vehicles can be seen at national bus rallies, exhibitions and Heritage Event Transport showcases across the country.

Craftsmanship, Expertise & Future Skills
Our multidisciplinary team includes coachbuilders, carpenters, joiners, welders, painters and signwriters, all working together to deliver Full-Service Bus Customisation and Custom Vehicle Design. For components that can no longer be sourced, our network of specialist fabricators produces accurate bespoke parts to maintain authenticity. Interiors are trimmed and upholstered using traditional techniques wherever possible, preserving the charm and character of each vehicle.
We also support British Heritage Bus Export and Vintage London Bus Rental for collectors, museums, private owners and global enthusiasts seeking classic British vehicles restored to exceptional standards.
Our apprenticeship programme ensures these rare skills continue into the next generation—developing craftsmen who uphold the traditions of excellence, integrity and heritage restoration.
